Who We Are
About Storm Shield Roofing
Our Background
Our Story
Storm Shield Roofing was founded in Guildford in 2009 by Mark Davies, a time-served roofer with over two decades of hands-on experience. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted local team — but the values that drove Mark from day one haven't changed.
We built our reputation the old-fashioned way: turning up on time, doing the job properly, and treating every home as if it were our own. Word of mouth has always been our strongest marketing tool, and we're proud that a large proportion of our work still comes from customer referrals and repeat business.
Today, Storm Shield Roofing handles everything from emergency repairs to full roof replacements, guttering, flat roofs, and chimney work — all across Guildford and the wider Surrey area. Every job, large or small, gets the same level of care and attention.
What We Stand For
Honest Advice
We tell you what your roof actually needs — not what generates the biggest invoice. If a repair will do the job, we'll say so.
Quality Materials
We only use materials we'd put on our own homes. That means reputable brands, proper specifications, and no cutting corners.
Tidy Working
We respect your property. We protect gardens and driveways, clear all waste at the end of every day, and leave the site clean on completion.
Clear Communication
You'll always know what's happening and why. We explain the work in plain English and keep you updated throughout the job.
Fully Insured
We carry comprehensive public liability insurance on every job. Your home and your peace of mind are always protected.
Local Knowledge
We know Surrey's housing stock, its weather patterns, and its planning requirements. That local expertise makes a real difference.
